About
I'm a clinically-trained affective neuroscientist who has served as an expert witness for tort law cases involving neuropsychiatric injury. My aim is to translate in plain English the physical damage that plaintiffs sustain that may manifest as emotional or other psychological issues.
I also have expertise in assessment and neuropsychology -- having developed objective computer tasks that have been studied internationally -- which can be helpful in cases involving ambiguity around malingering or "abnormal" test performance.
I received my PhD from Harvard University and completed my clinical residency and post-doctoral fellowship at Brown Medical School, before teaching (and conducting research) as a professor at my alma mater, Oberlin College, and most recently at the University of California, Berkeley.
I currently work at a tech startup co-founded with my brother in Los Angeles, where I serve as the Director of Research and Development. Our scientific program examines various aspects of AI cognition and personality development, from data curation to post-training.
