About
I am a corporate and commercial lawyer licensed in Ontario and Brazil, with experience in commercial transactions, contract drafting and negotiation, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, risk management, and legal operations.
I currently advise businesses on corporate and commercial matters, including commercial agreements, corporate structuring, governance, commercial leasing, purchase agreements, transactional due diligence, and closings. I also work on legal technology and AI adoption, designing workflows, automation solutions, and process improvements that help legal teams work more efficiently.
My experience spans Canada, Brazil, and the United States and includes private practice, government, courts, academia, and a publicly traded technology company. Earlier in my career, I spent nearly four years supporting international document review, compliance, privacy, security, and regulatory standards in a global technology environment.
I am particularly interested in how lawyers can help businesses make better decisions by translating legal risk into practical advice. My work combines corporate and commercial law with an interest in technology, AI, compliance, legal operations, and cross border business.
Outside my legal practice, I host Studying Law Around the World, a CPD accredited legal podcast where I have interviewed lawyers, academics, founders, and other legal professionals from around the world. I am also an external PhD candidate at Erasmus School of Law, where my research focuses on law, regulation, policy, and essential infrastructure.
I enjoy connecting with legal and business professionals working across corporate law, technology, regulated industries, international business, and the future of legal practice.
